Our family of five (middle aged parents, two 21 year olds and a 16 year old) had a fantastic private coasteering session this Easter. Our guide Ruairi was very knowledgeable and took us on a fabulous route round to Hotpoint, with plenty of exciting jumps and fun tidal channels for everyone. We were lucky to have perfect conditions this year and the views of the coastline were absolutely stunning. We even saw seals! We were lucky as there was only 2 of us on the lesson so we got excellent one on one coaching, helping us progress massively. He took time explaining how to read waves and what will be good or bad. Extra credit due as the weather was torrential rain and he came back down the stairs to help with carrying the buggy back up the flooded steps for our spectating family. Top lad.

Which locations are worth a visit on the Lizard?

The most notable locations to visit are Kynance Cove, Cadgwith Cove, Mullion Harbour and the Lizard village itself, which includes Lizard Point, the most southerly part of Britain.

This is Cornwall at its most dramatic — towering cliffs carved by Atlantic swells, hidden coves tucked beneath rocky headlands, and sweeping views that seem to roll on forever. Walking here feels raw and real, with every turn in the path revealing another cinematic slice of coastline.

Is it easy to get around the Lizard Peninsula?

Certainly not by public transport. The Lizard is made up of traditional Cornish roads and lanes, making many of the idyllic villages difficult to get to directly by bus. You can get a bus into the main Lizard village, and walk to a number of locations on foot, including Kynance Cove and Cadgwith. Best is to have your own, or hired, vehicle to get around.

How do I know which location my booking will take place?

Our experienced team carefully monitors sea and weather conditions in the lead-up to your session and selects the most suitable location the day before your booking, ensuring the safest conditions and the best possible experience. For this reason, specific venues cannot be chosen at the time of booking, as safety and suitability always guide our decision.

The day before your activity, you’ll receive a confirmation by SMS and email with your final meeting point, clear directions, what to bring, and everything you need to know ahead of time. Wherever your session takes place, you can expect stunning scenery, expert guidance, and a memorable, action-packed adventure from start to finish.

Do I need to be able to swim?

For safety reasons, all participants must be able to swim to take part in our activities. Many of our experiences involve time in and around the sea, including swimming short distances and moving through open water, so being comfortable in the water is essential for both safety and enjoyment throughout the session.

What do I need to bring?

To take part in our ocean activities, you’ll need to arrive with suitable clothing and personal items for the conditions. This typically includes swimwear, secure and appropriate footwear for the water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and any personal medication you may require during your session.

Full, activity-specific details of what to bring will be clearly outlined in your confirmation email sent the day before your booking, so you can arrive fully prepared and ready for the adventure ahead.

What if it is raining, and/or windy on the day of my booking?

The safety of our customers and guides is always our top priority. In the event that weather conditions pose a danger—such as extremely strong winds, large or hazardous waves, or other unsafe sea or coastal conditions—we will cancel the session and contact you promptly to arrange a suitable alternative date and time for your session

What if need to cancel our booking?

For full details of our cancellation policy, please refer to our Terms and Conditions. Wherever possible, we always aim to be flexible and will do our best to rearrange any sessions you are unable to attend, provided sufficient notice is given.

Please note that sessions cancelled at very short notice, or where participants do not attend their booked session (no-shows), cannot be refunded. This is due to the advance planning required, including staff allocation, equipment preparation, and venue logistics.
